I’ve been a Registered Nurse since the 80s, with a career spanning medical-surgical care, operating room nursing, Infection Prevention and Control, and home health and hospice. I’ve witnessed both the beauty and the heartbreak of life—and those experiences sometimes find their way into my stories.
My love for Jane Austen began when I was twelve years old, and Pride and Prejudice has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve read Austen’s novels more times than I can count, always wishing she had written a longer epilogue. I longed to know what became of Darcy and Elizabeth after their wedding—what their life together might have looked like.
Imagine my delight when I discovered the world of Pride and Prejudice retellings. I had no idea such variations existed! After years of enjoying the work of other authors, I finally sat down to write the story that had taken shape in my own mind years ago as a twelve-year-old child, the one where Mr. Bennet takes decisive action to protect his daughters. My second book followed, exploring Elizabeth’s inner strength as she faced Darcy’s relentless resistance to his destiny.
Now, more stories are clamoring for attention, waiting to be written.
